Common questions

Traditional tracking (like the Meta Pixel) runs in the visitor's browser. If they have an ad blocker, the tracking script gets blocked and the conversion is never reported. Server-side tracking moves the event delivery to a server — the visitor's browser never sends data directly to the ad platform, so ad blockers can't intercept it.

You can set up Meta CAPI yourself — if you want to learn event deduplication, user data hashing, access token rotation, and error handling. FireTrack handles all of that for you, with a dashboard to monitor delivery, a dead letter queue to recover failures, and support for Google and TikTok in the same setup. If you've already built a CAPI integration, you'll appreciate not having to maintain it.

Yes. If both the browser pixel and FireTrack are sending to Meta, you'll get duplicate events. During onboarding, FireTrack replaces the Meta Pixel (and TikTok Pixel) so there's one clean path for each event. GA4 is fine to keep — it's analytics, not ad conversion tracking.

Failed events go into the dead letter queue and are automatically retried. You can also replay them manually from the dashboard. Your events aren't lost — they're just delayed. And you still have GA4 running for analytics data, so there's no total blind spot.

Yes. FireTrack replaces ad platform pixels (Meta, TikTok) but doesn't touch analytics tools. GA4 runs independently and continues to provide website analytics data. FireTrack and GA4 serve different purposes.
